Meet Dayla!

Meet Dayla, the Student Ministry Associate at OBU.

What are your interests: I love people. I love knowing their stories, hearing their hearts and empowering them to live life to the fullest. In relationship to that I love meeting over a cup of coffee, making breakfast for a friend and experimenting in the kitchen, as a way to open my home to others.

Why do you desire to go to Zambia: This will be my third trip to Zambia and I find myself stretched and challenged in new ways each and every time I go.  My hope in going is that I will be able to engage the students on our team as well as share the Truth with the Nationals we encounter.

What do you hope to learn during your time in Zambia: I hope to grow in my relationship with the Father, continue to learn how to lead others well and continue to build relationships with both the M family and my National friends.

Meet Andrew!

Meet Andrew, a Freshmen Bible major.

What are your interests: Studying and reading, hanging out with friends, listening to music and being with my family.

Why do you desire to go to Zambia: To share the Good News and ultimately to honor the Father.

What do you hope to learn during your time in Zambia: Gaining a global perspective and to be humbled.

Meet Mikayla!

Meet Mikayla, a Freshmen Nursing major.

What are your interests: I enjoy playing sports and hanging out with friends.  I also enjoy watching movies and doing any outdoor activities. Most of all I love going to new places and experiencing the joy of our Father's presence.

Why do you desire to go to Zambia: Because the Father has placed a love on my heart to go to all nations and tell of His great name.  I am so very excited to see what the Father is going to do in the lives of the Zambian people and through us while we are there.

What do you hope to learn during your time in Zambia: I hope to learn about the culture and to see the amazing joy and love of the Father in a new and fresh way.  I am so very excited to see the people and what the Father has been doing and will continue to do.

Meet Joseph!

Meet Joseph, a Junior Youth Ministry major.

What are your interests: Anything to do with soccer, spending time with friends and watching movies.

Why do you desire to go to Zambia: I felt called to go back to Zambia last year and hope I will be used to impact others' lives.  I also look forward to fellowshipping with the Nationals again!

What do you hope to learn during your time in Zambia: I hope to learn more about the Father and really continue to grow while serving with the other Zambia team members.

Meet Molly!

Meet Molly, a Junior Nursing major.

What are your interests: I like to hang out with my friends, ride bikes, go on walks, travel to new places, and crochet.

Why do you desire to go to Zambia: I'm so excited to be going back to Zambia to see people that I met last year and build on those relationships.  I love to travel, so I'm also excited for new opportunities to see new places and to meet new people.

What do you hope to learn during your time in Zambia: I'm looking forward to seeing what has been happening over the past year.  I'd love to learn more about the culture and ways in which I can grow in my relationships with the Father, as well as in relationships with the people of Zambia.

Meet Paige!

Meet Paige, a Junior Nursing major.

What are your interests: I enjoy reading, playing the piano, going for walks and spending time with friends. I also LOVE drinking coffee.

Why do you desire to go to Zambia: Going overseas, especially to Africa, has been something I've wanted to do since I was a little girl.  I spent the past two summers lifting up the teams that went to Zambia and hearing about what the Father is doing there.  I feel like Zambia has a special place in my heart and I'm excited to share the Good News and meet the people I've heard so much about.

What do you hope to learn during your time in Zambia: During my time in Zambia, I am excited to grow deeper in my relationship with the Father.  My hope is that, through sharing His love and redemption story with others, I will understand and learn more about who He is.

Meet Jenna!

Meet Jenna, a Junior Nursing major.

What are your interests: I like to play sports and hang out with my friends. I also like to sing and play the guitar.

Why do you desire to go to Zambia: After going to Zambia last year and meeting the wonderful people, I really felt called back to deepen those relationships and share the Good News with those who do not know the Father.

What do you hope to learn during your time in Zambia: I hope to grow closer to the Father and learn more about His love for us, our call to love His people and share His great name.

Meet Hannah!

Meet Hannah, a Junior Family and Community Service major.

What are your interests: The Savior. People. Coffee. and Traveling. Oh and I love adventures.

Why do you desire to go to Zambia: My freshmen year, I felt a specific call to go to Africa and the Father worked it out and sent me to Zambia. While I was there I left a part of my heart with the Zambian people and the workers there. Earlier this year I felt Him calling me back to Zambia and I am answering that call.

What do you hope to learn during your time in Zambia: I hope to gain a better understanding of the Zambian culture.  Also how to Trust the Father when I am completely out of my comfort zone.  Lastly, I hope to learn how to better love and have compassion for the Nationals.

Please lift up Hannah as she prepares to go and for her time in Zambia.  Ask that she might grow in love and compassion for the people of Zambia and around the world.
